If I have 2,500 per year to invest what would be my best option. I have 28 single and already have a 403 (b)? IRA?

Roth IRA is a better of your investment if you only have about 2,500 a year to invest. CD's? Gold? Help me out I have 28 and this is a good time to worry about these things.

Open a Roth self-directed with a discount broker like Schwab good. There, you can choose from all the many no-load mutual funds available. Put it in large-cap fund class (go to Morningstar.com to research funds) and to reach about 10 km from the account, you can begin to divide money, or what they call 'asset allocation, "in other areas – small caps, mixing, etc. If you do not have international inclined to learn about mutual fund investing, buying one of the "objective" or "lifestyle" funds, which will assign assets to you. Large fund families have them, Fidelity, Vanguard, etc, but I do not necessarily recommend any. These funds are more aggressive that you are of retirement. The funds are associated with a given year, for the time you expect to retire. At 28 years, assuming that the work of 65 years, seek a good background led to the 2040-45 years. If you retire in the next few years would have their money in a very conservative background 2010. You can also deal exclusively a family of funds, but I do not recommend it. No family could claim to have all the best funds in each asset class, or a market sector. And if you deal with a single and find something better, you have to sell and then wait for a qweek more or less of your money to reinvest elsewhere. If you have a single omnibus account with Schwab or similar loyalty can be sold one day and buy something else the next. Good luck!
